About Us
Our Story
At Verde Valley Pecans, we are passionate about cultivating the finest farm-fresh pecans in the Verde Valley. As a family-run farm rooted in sustainable practices, our journey began with a vision to promote health and wellness through high-quality, locally grown food. We believe in nurturing both our land and our community by offering farm-fresh pecans, eggs, and other farm products. And by supporting our local partner growers, we enable them to bring their harvests to market. Additionally, our commitment to education shines through our events and blog, where we share best practices in pecan farming, thereby uplifting our region's agricultural traditions. Join us in celebrating the rich flavors and benefits of locally grown produce as we strive to make a positive impact, one pecan at a time.
Our Founding Story
Verde Valley Pecans LLC was established in March 2025 following our move to the Verde Valley in late 2024. We chose this region to focus on agriculture, rural living, and creating meaningful opportunities for our family, including supporting our disabled daughter in a more connected and sustainable environment.
Our property includes 135 pecan trees, which quickly immersed us in the local agricultural community. During this time, we learned that a longtime local operator—who had provided harvesting services to area pecan growers for over 20 years—was retiring, and no one was stepping in to continue the work. Recognizing the critical gap this created, we decided to invest in the business to ensure local pecan crops would not go to waste due to a lack of access to essential harvesting and cleaning equipment.
For many growers, these annual harvests are a vital source of income. While their trees were still producing, they no longer had an efficient path to bring their crop to market. Today, we support approximately 50 family-owned orchards, ranging in size from just a few trees to over 200, by providing essential services such as tree shaking, fertilization, and harvest support.
By purchasing equipment, labor, and expertise, we help remove the financial and operational barriers that often prevent small growers from maintaining productive orchards. Our approach allows families to remain in agriculture without taking on significant debt or being forced to sell their land. Rather than replacing family farms, our mission is to help them stay viable, productive, and profitable for years to come.
